Also you only have communication when pressing brake pedal
Please check your brake light switch and the radio power wire (or any others) and verify that the wires have not melted /shorted together. These wires will be located under the dash probably in a bunch. You may have a blown radio and dashboard fuse /cut wires and the brakes are supplying all the power!!
