I have a 2014 F150 4x4 with a 5.0 v8 and it’s just now turned over the 160k mile mark. About three months ago the fans seemed really loud but I’ve not given it any extra thought until now. These babies are working on my nerves! I’ve tried coolant flush and refill and I’ve tried the AC pressure switch. Neither fixed the issue so I’m assuming since the fans only respond to engine temp, trans temp, and AC pressure and both tranny and engine temp is good, I should have my AC system flushed and gassed up with new fluids right? If I’m wrong then I’d like some advice please and thank you!!

I assume the fans are electric? If that’s the case I would check the fan relay. DON’T DO ANYTHING WITH THE AC FREON R134A. You don’t need to touch that system. The ac system is a sealed system and doesn’t need service. The only thing that should be checked on the ac system is to make sure the condenser is clear and clean and has good airflow and check the ac compressor belt. The cooling fans have at least 2 speeds. It could be a stuck relay.i would get a electric schematic and trace the circuit and find the issue. Also does it have a manual fan? If so it may have a bad fan clutch and a bad fan clutch can have two issues. First it won’t spin and cause it to overheat. Second the fan clutch and freeze and it will sound like a airplane under your hood.
