I have updated my r4 card( v1.4.4) to r4i v1.80b which works perfectly on my daughters dsi, However I purchased a ‘used’ dsi for my son and the same card doesn’t work n his? it come up with a black screen saying the following, AN ERROR HAS OCCURED. PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON TO TURN THE SYSTEM OFF. PLEASE REFER TO THE NINTENDO DSI OPERATIONS MANUAL FOR DETAILS. Any info would be much appreciated. Regards, Andy.
Because the used’ dsi console fimrware version is higher then your r4i card firmware. So it didnot work. You need to upgrade your r4 card and here is the tutorial: http://www.digitopz.com/r4i-gold-3ds-tut…
This is so old that I doubt you’ll respond or still have this problem, but now an R4 card is useless. A new DSI exploit called memory pit allows you to install TwilightMeNU++ and other hacks via just an SD card. See here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/memory-pit-a…
