Ive purchased some macbook Air batteries, and dont usually pay them any mind, but I’d like to try to wrap my head around this. I purchased a battery that says: “for A1377, A1369, also fit A1405 A1466 A1469” How can one battery support so many models across different years? Did the MBA battery never change form factor?
Yes ,Battery A1377 and A1405. interchangable. for temporary use only. A1466 A1369 A1496 A1405 A1377 Battery for Apple MacBook Air 13 inch A1466 (Mid 2012, Mid 2013, Early 2014, Early 2015 Version), A1369 (Late 2010, Mid 2011 Version) Laptop Replacement Battery by HWG https://www.amazon.com/A1496-Battery-Mac… Note:- Effect CPU speed and usage, Freezing, , More power use. but for temporary you can use.
Hey there! I hate to break it to you, but there isn’t a battery that is that cross-compatible. The A1377, A1496, and A1405 all have the same connector, but are not cross-compatible due to system differences. Each product page has the compatibility list on the right hand column near the bottom. A1406 and A1375 also have the same connectors, but they are placed in a slightly different place, and so cannot be used interchangeably. Out of curiosity, can I see this battery that claims to be hyper-compatible? Best of luck on your future repairs!
