Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to reprogram a replacement iPhone screen to get rid of the error message in settings saying it may not be a genuine part? I purchased the iCopy Plus 2.1 programmer. I copied the information from the original screen to the new one but it still shows the message in settings. However, truetone is working.
hello CAB, this method is no longer available. The settings have been encoded and hidden in the SIP device. The current method for IOS15.3 is move (resolder) the entire bone into a new screen. In the IOS15.4 I did not check, but I have the impression that something has been programmatically corrected (secured) again.
If you in don’t want the message, you’ll need to transfer the IC chip on the digitiser flex behind the LCD. But usually aftermarket LCD.either have a fake sheild over them, or have a pad layout. This type.of thing is usually done by refurbishers who change the touch panel and use non IC digitisers. Then solder on the original chip to the new screen assembly.
