when I plug the charger into the notebook, nothing happens at all. Not even the light for the power gives any indication that a power source is plugged in. What could be causing this?
First thing i would try is a replacement charger. Second is the actual port itself. Which either may be worn or damaged. It looks like the DC in port on that board is soldered directly to the motherboard, so it’s more likely in my experience that wear could have disconnected any of the contacts between that port and the board itself. I would pop open the bottom of the laptop up and just have a look. See if the power jack looks wobbly or disconnected anywhere.
