LG 5G UH850V Hello, My tv suddenly stopped working and screen was full of horizontal lines. Usually
pink purple. I tried everything, like removing hdmi input and switching on off etc. Occasionally it will come to life and work for 20 - 30 minutes but will go back to same. What do you reckon problem us and is it worth repairing? 4 year old TV. Thanks
DanDan ultimately it would depend on what all of that looks like. Do you continue to have sound? It could be the main board, which is my primary suspect from your information. Post some good pictures with your QUESTION. That way we can see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that. Update DanDan that looks like a failed graphics processor. My first step would be to change the main board. Schematics for most mainboards are not readily available so a repair could be tough. A reflow might get a temporary change but not a definite repair. Once you have your back cover off the TV post some pictures of it with your question. Lets see what the IC‘s look like
