Chosen Solution

Hello all I purchased a macbook pro model A1706 and found out it was icloud locked. What can I do with it now? I was thinking maybe I could find the same model cheaply but with a damaged screen and swap it to make the most out of my loss. I’m not savvy with electronics- but I have replaced the displays of a few Samsung phones and an iPad. Would it be better to just try to sell it as is to recoup my losses? And if so how much should I ask for? Any advice is welcomed, as this situation has kind of derailed me and now has turned into something way more complicated than I intended.

Sadly, there is nothing you can do to get around the iCloud lock. Selling it as a working system just passes the issue to someone else. Other than replacing the logic board with a clean one there is only one other thing just selling it for parts or see if Apple will accept it in a trade-in for a new system.
