Chosen Solution This is not an Acer AL1714 this is an Acer ZEIV4. Dropped the tablet but screen is not cracked but has colored lines on half the screen. Even if the screen isn’t cracked the LCD inside could’ve got damaged. If screen replacement is possible that would fix the lcd.

Chosen Solution My Kindle keyboard screen looks like it is powered up with a list of titles on the screen, but the battery has been completely removed. I have tried to reset the unit, several times, still the same thing. Unit will not charge, either. Any suggestions? Seems to me the screen on the only changes with power. What you are seeing is the last screen that was shown before power was removed....

Hi kok wee ng, It sounds like either your graphics processor in your TV is going bad, or the LCD is starting to break inside and not display images correctly. I would try messing around with some video settings on your TV to see if the various lines get stronger or lighter with adjusting the color, contrast, etc....

Chosen Solution I attempted to pull out the display of my 3GS, to see if I could fix my SIM card not working, but instead I broke the plastic, and split my 3GS into 2 parts (and broke cable #3 in the process, but I don’t really need it). It’s pretty straightforward to put it back together, and connecting all marked cables makes the phone boot, and the touch screen is responsive and the home button works....

Now nothing happened when the machine plugged and press the button (no sound just black screen). It worked fine before I left. I tried to take apart the machine and all look fine inside. I replaced the logic board battery and still same. But I found once I put on the plug, it has “da da da” sound continually from behind the logic board....

I disassembled it and it’s not a cable issue, because I wiggled and pushed on the video cable (and even unplugged it and replugged it a couple times) and the display looks exactly the same....
Chosen Solution I replaced the digitizer and screen for an ipad Air using one of the IFixIt kits, and it all worked well except there is one area on the right side near where the digitizer cables are located that doesn’t appear to be adhered as well as it could be. When you push down on the edge you can hear the adhesive stick and then eventually a bit later it will unstick with a small clicking sound....

It kept on doing this so i did a bit of googling and thought it may of been the heatsink not keeping the CPU cool enough so it went into protect mode and shut down. I took my mac apart and saw that the heatsink wasn’t looking too great so i decided to change it just incase that was the problem....

The problem is, the home button isn’t responsive and either is the screen! I tried replugging the connectors onto the logic board, but still nothing. I tried to make a time machine onto a flash drive and canceled it after it running for 3 days and only being 2/3 of the way through. It’s not my computer so I’m not sure when it began. Chosen Solution When changing your screen, the screen should hook onto the phone, but for me the part where it hooks onto is blunt, is there a way of fixing it so the screen so it can hook onto the phone? thanks :) Are you talking about the metal housing hook at the top of the iPhone housing or the plastic hook at the top of the screen? Plastic hook you may be able to get away by bending the clip....
Chosen Solution Screen replacement was done it worked at first then gave lines,found dirt in connection cleaned and reconnected then it worked but no touch. figured digitizer connection has issue now .took to a shop they fixed the digitizer and now battery won’t charge pass 2% any ideas? Could it be that the repair shop you took it to didn’t connect something back up correctly? Do you have another charger and cable you can try?...
