Chosen Solution Customer brought in a unit where they had attempted to remove user account and it did not go well. Now MBP 15” starts to log in screen. When password is entered for user account, unit unlocks to question mark folder. No drive can be found booting to command R or booting from external drive. Chosen Solution So after breaking my iPhone SE 2nd Gen, I got the front + back panel replaced and front and rear camera replaced with iPhone 8 parts. Everything is working fine again except for the autofocus on the rear camera. Nothing past a few inches is in focus. I did a full restore and the problem persists. The repair shop tried 3 separated iPhone 8 rear cameras but it’s still there....

Chosen Solution I have a dead tablet-PC Asus T300CHI. The SSD is a SanDisk SSD 128GB which is soldered to the board. I wonder if it would be feasible to unsolder it from the board and solder it back onto a M.2 or mSATA board. The idea would of course to be able to recover the information stored on it. Chosen Solution my ipad screen is cracked around the edges and has dead spots. Will replacing the screen solve dead spots or is this another problem altogether. If you mean “dead spots” as in the touch screen doesn’t work, yes replacing the digitizer/glass should fix that issue. If the “dead spots” are black/discolored spots of bad pixels then you’ll also need to replace the display panel underneath.

Chosen Solution I’ve set the reset but it only flashes a white apple symbol screen and back to black repeatedly. How do i fix it? I have an extra phone for parts. This unit has a bad Eeprom at its best. The second problem, a bad led is causing the flashing you mentioned. These are the two things that can cause the flashing you speak of. But when I brought it to them, they now said they weren’t able to do it because they didn’t have a way to “heat” up the old one to get the old screen off....

Chosen Solution I was digging around in a dump and found a nice vizio d55u-d1 tv, and figured a simple power board swap would fix it ( it didnt look good). Installed it today and still the same issues. No white power light, nothing backlighting the screen…nothing. Could it be my main board? want to be sure before dropping another 40 on a board. Chosen Solution I’m dealing with one tough cookie on trying to remove the bolt on the whole tensioner pully which is a t-47 torx bit and I can’t budge it. Soaked it with all the lubricates, then heated it from the back spayed ice water on it to no avail nothing. My next option is to just remove the pulley itself which has a 15mm bolt head. My question is what direction do you turn the 15mm bolt to get that off?...

Chosen Solution Some apps suddenly stopped working - a notice appears saying “App won’t run while Google Play Services are updating” - but nothing is updating and it’s been like that for a couple of days. There had been this regular notification, saying an app needs access to Google or something, that was the first thing that appeared, however it never allowed me to login in and connect anyway. I also had to uninstall Google Play Store as when I opened it the screen went crazy/flashing black and white....

Chosen Solution I can’t get into the kindle store to buy a book You can only access the kindle book store if you are on the latest firmware, on some older devices you will have to update manually by downloading the firmware from the amazon kindle website and installing it onto the device, once you are on the most recent firmware you will be able to access the Kindle Book store again....

Chosen Solution I recently repaired my speaker in the driver side front door of my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport but when I put the inside panel back on the door lock won’t work. The inside lock button is stuck in the on position (but the door is not locked) and will not move and the key lock will not lock the door. If I take the panel off and disconnect the cables to the lock, the lock works per using the cables and the key also works....

Chosen Solution This seems like a strange issue. I went to turn on my computer after a full shutdown and it wouldn’t tun on. I thought that the battery had drained even though I fully charged it the day before but that didn’t work either. The MagSafe light went from green to orange, then eventually back to green but attempting to start the computer up didn’t work. I tried dismantling the computer and removing the battery but the MagSafe light went from green to orange even with no battery installed and still won’t start up....

I did notice the display data cable below the FaceTime camera was empty. I also noticed the port on the motherboard was also empty.
