Chosen Solution The repair people replaced a board about a month ago. It had squealed then for most of a day, then two days later quit cooling. Now it is squealing continuously…sometimes like a screech sometimes like a warble…always very loud, but it is cooling. I think it’s the fan motor, but I have to wait for home warranty contractor to come to service. Any thoughts? Yep, probably a broken fan motor or broken fan blades (unlikely it is the blades)....

Chosen Solution My Samsung un55ks8000fxzc started having this problem where when I turn on the tv all I see is a grayed out image and the red power lights stays blinking 7 times. Then it power cycles and keeps repeating the same steps. Any idea what it could be? So I was able to get the TV to turn on and return to working order by taping 3 of the lines on the ribbon cable inside the TV....

Chosen Solution On my mid 2012 MBP the screen sometimes turns black when moving the lid. Inspected the heat sink, no problems. Turned it on and it was working fine. Sent it back and I figured good day. Mostly I use them just for lights and I have 2 lights off each battery, two batteries are car batteries and one is a solar battery. The deep cycle battery has a monitor that I run the panels and lights through the other batteries I run the panel and lights directly to the terminals....

However when I tried to turn it on, I found something I have seen happen before, which is that the MacBook does not respond to the keyboard at all. So I took off the bottom panel and shorted the power button pins, because that always works for non responsive keyboards, however not only did I find zero damage on the cable or anything else, but shorting the power button pins yielded no response at all....

I bought this a dead 6sp thinking it was going to be an easy tristar job, but as soon as I got it it was charging normally, so I took it apart and saw Tristar had already been replaced so I replaced it just in case. DC power supply says it takes 80mA, then 110mA and stays there indefinetely. I suspected tigris might be bad so I replaced it too, then I replaced both Tristar and Tigris at the same time just to be sure....

Chosen Solution Most intel desktop processors have 16 PCIe lanes, which is just enough for an x16 GPU. Obviously, you can’t use the GPU without an OS to run on, thus you will need an SSD. So now you have an x4 NVMe SSD. Because the SSD needs to have 4 lanes to operate, does the GPU go down to x8 because it doesn’t have enough lanes to operate at x16?...

He was fired (too many damages in 1 week) and now I’m stuck finishing this. He started replacing both antennas but didn’t finish anything. I got both antennas in and it still says searching. Chosen Solution Hello All - I’ve got an iPad 2 Wifi 32gb. A couple of days ago, I dropped it and the front glass shattered. Fortunatly, the LCD and touch still worked and seemed untouched. I ordered a new screen from eTechParts.com and received it today. I used a hair dryer and tiny piece by piece removed the glass from the unit. Before I lifted the LCD out (with a lof of the glass still on it, I hit the power button and thfe device showed the lockscreen - LCD still seeminlgly undamamaged....

The batteries fit and screws in ok, but, the contacts on both [including an ifixit] replacements are slightly different and don’t make contact. there is a iphone 4 , iphone 4 (CDMA) and iphone 4S. the iphone 4/4(cdma) have the same battery and the iphone 4s has its own battery. make sure you have the right battery for the device you are working on....

Chosen Solution My replacement screen from iFixit doesn’t fit my iPhone 4 GSM. 3 corners will go down, but the corner next to the vibrator will no go down enough to reattach it to the iPhone body. I tried fitting my old screen and it fits perfectly. I ordered an iPhone 4 GSM screen and it doesn’t fit? What’s the problem here?
