You may want to try and backup your data and restore the phone just to rule out a software glitch. I have personally seen this issue before and it was a hardware issue. It had major corrosion in the battery compartment (most of the battery terminals were destroyed) and didn’t turn on at all when plugging in a power adapter. So I began by going the classic route when dealing with any old hardware - I replaced all of the electrolytic capacitors (on all boards). To respond to the second half regarding upgrading it to USB-C, that’s gonna be a no. USB-C connectors have several more signals than a micro USB port and consequently the printed circuit board footprint for the two connectors is completely different, so there’s no way to correctly solder in a USB-C connector on a micro USB footprint....
Chosen Solution Hi guys, I have replaced my charger port in my iPhone 7 and the signal has stopped working. I thought it was a faulty signal cable but even a new one still isn’t working. The charger port itself does work though. I have come come to a conclusion that it may be a short circuit somewhere or something I am missing as if the charger port flex is plugged into its socket the signal won’t work but it I release the charger port flex and keep the signal cable plugged in, it will work absolutely fine....

Sim tray or sim slot malfunctioning need a new sim try but if u had water damage u mit wanna take it to get it cleaned cuz the corrosion could be a factor too but ya most likely the phone needs a clean out and a new sim tray hopefully not a new board

I must push the power button for 2 sec to sleep .. and if i close lid when charging the green battery test are very weak. Photo battery light when is closed lid and opened....

Chosen Solution I opened my sunroof now it won’t close. When I push the button to close it makes a grinding noise and won’t close. Now this is from a later model but should still be valid for yours as well. from here Remove the front sunglass holder and pull down the front of the headliner then you can access the sunroof motor, if the cable has only separated and not completely jammed itself in the housing then you should be able to remove the sunroof motor and manually pull on the glass forward to position the glass back closed, you can not however position the glass up/down manually because the cables are directly connected to the lift arms and require motor drive to position up/down....

For your situation, you can probably just “short” FL7500 and leave C7523 out and still have a functional device....

When I boot the phone it stays on a screen saying ‘An error has occured while updating the device. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software’ The screen stays on for about 30 seconds and then the phone shuts down. I have removed the main battery and the backup battery and cleared the Power-On Password, and I can now get into the BIOS setup and see that the passwords are set, but can not clear or change the passwords. Now the current problem I have is that the ribbon connector flap that pushes the ribbon cable down and locks it in place, broke. The actual connector is fine, but the little flap broke. Chosen Solution I dropped my phone in the sink and there is water but it is not fully submerged. I think it may have a problem with corrosion but I’m not entirely sure. The cord and the part where you connect the cord gets really hot even after just 1 minute of charging but it won’t charge. It also smells burnt. I just got this phone 11 months ago and I can’t buy another replacement....

This means the host sends a special “host-to-device” command, and the device sends different “device-to-host” commands back. It would be possible to connect two computers using SATA with your special SATA translator device in the middle just like USB cables ....
