The screen cable and back lights go up thru this hinge and will finally get worn. You usually have enough slack on the screen side or the bottom side to pull a bit of the cable either way so the as built area in the hinge kink is in a different place....

Chosen Solution My macbook pro took a hit on the side of the screen nothing too significant (so I thought) it left an indentation though. The day after it started to display white strips that fade in and out on and off. The issue seems to fix it selft after few minute. (Maybe after warming up?? Not sure). I took it to an apple repair shop when I try to show them the issue of course the laptop didnt show the issue anymore, luckily i took pictures and recorded a video with my phone of the issue so they can see it, as I knew it would be highly likely the issue wouldnt be displayed at the apple repair shop....

Chosen Solution I have just finished replament of keyboard with backlight. When I booted the machine up to test, the startup screen came up briefly and then went dark. However when I checked it. it was connected. What am I doing wrong? Thanks If the card is new and indeed connected (in the slot squarely and firmly) then the connector board or the logic board is a fault. You did not say what caused you to purchase a new wireless card… if it was loss of wireless functionality then that could have been the problem all along....

It shuts down seconds after booting up and on the rare occasions it stays on the ports in the back will work sporadically. It charges my computer beautifully, even after it shuts down. What part do I have to replace to get it back to normal? Take the cable back to the store....
