Chosen Solution I just installed a 12 core CPU upgrade kit in a Mac Pro 2010, and now the fans come on full blast. Everything is installed correctly, and I’m at a loss here. Does anyone have any idea how to calibrate these new CPU’s, or is there something I’m not doing? ASD 3S143 doesn’t have processor calibration ability as I’ve already looked there. Please don’t suggest an SMC or PRAM reset, or any kind of fan control software, because none of those work....

Chosen Solution Starter keeps running, does not disengage, after car starts. It is not the starter or fly wheel. Something electrical keeps it running until the armature is ruined. Four starters completely ruined. It is not the solenoid or starter. Does not happen every time, but every 3 or 4 times it is started. @oldsoupy if you are certain that it is not your starter/solenoid etc. then I would go ahead and see if it is the TIPM....

Chosen Solution I am apparently very hard on my keyboards. I’ve replaced the top case of a 2014 MacBook Air with unresponsive and jammed keys, gave that to my kids and got a 2017. Now that also has keys that broke off and won’t snap back into the clips (tried new keys) and a 4 that won’t go. Is this something that I can fix with just a new keyboard or is a top case again the way to go?...

Chosen Solution Hi all, I completed the iPhone 7 battery replacement guide tonight but find that now my home button doesn’t work (the precise error message I get is about Touch ID not activating). If I re-open the phone, how likely is it that I will be able to re-enable the home button? While I have read that it may be as simple as re-fastening the two display cables, I did have some trouble putting them in and worry I may have damaged the one that connects the home button....

Chosen Solution Like the subject states, the problem with my laptop is that the AirPort is recognized by the computer. But it is unable to detect any networks. (My brother also has a MacBook Pro and it connects to the wireless network fine) My problem started after I took my laptop in for repairs on the speakers as it sounded tinny and vibrated easily on high notes. Well during the repair they called me and told me that they also had to repair the display as it was flickering or something like that....

Not long ago, I replaced the Mac Air keyboard on my own, I unscrewed the phillips screw of the fan for the sake of cleaning while I’m at it. Afterwards, the fan problem came. At first, it was a ticking sound coming out. With the use of Macs Fan Control, I found out the problem arose from the fact that the fan was not spinning at all....

Chosen Solution I have a pair of dentist glasses ( same kind of glasses your dentist would have, best description i can give but same kind of thing your looking at on amazon, just with a headband kind of thing) …….. just get the correct power you need, i have no idea what the mag. on mine is…… they allow me plenty of room/distance from what i am working on and just flip up the glasses like a welding mask makes it easier then glasses....

Chosen Solution I have a PSP 1001 and when I plug in the A/C adapter I get no power lights and it dose not turn on. I do hear a slight humming noise but that’s all. I think it might be the A/C port but I am not sure. Hi! Can you confirm that the power supply is in working condition? Maybe by trying to charge one of your friend’s console with it, to see if that works?...

Chosen Solution I have a 540i… the expansion tank spread apart, the two body pieces. Do not get a new spare I want to glue it… need to know what plastic it is made of and what adhesive I should use Thank you very much 5 series and cooling issues. When these cars get old, things like hoses and apparently expansion tanks seem to go out. I would strongly consider spending the big bucks and getting a replacement - even if it means begging at the dealer....

Chosen Solution My 2014 ram 1500 blower motor randomly cuts in and out. I have changed blower motor and control switch and it’s still cutting in and out. If you have changed the blower motor and control module, you likely have two remaining possibilities: 1: Your blower motor resistor has failed which can cause an intermittent connection as the resistor heats and cools. 2: You have a loose connection in your wiring harness....

Chosen Solution I watched and followed the video on replacing the battery. I’m convinced that none of the connectors were damages and have all been put back in correctly. I’ve reset the ipad3 multiple times and redone all the connectors multiple times but the touch screen will not respond to touch. I see the display …but no touch. Any ideas? No touch means the digitizer isn’t working. It’s connected to the clear glass part of the display, separate from the LCD underneath....

Chosen Solution Hi, I had a little bit of water damage and had to replace the lightning port and headphone jack (everything else works perfectly). now when I connect it to an apple certified cable and power adapter it makes the charging noise and starts to charge. then a message pops up “device may not be supported” then the charging symbol disappears, i just checked it and it says that it is at 6% whereas previously it was at 4%, I dont know if its the battery playing up again (showing the wrong percentage of charge) or its actually charging....

Chosen Solution Just replaced my wife’s iPhone 6 screen with one from iFixit and it has vertical gray lines. I tried reseating the cables. No dice. Tried unplugging battery for 30 seconds. Checked connectors for bent pins. Don’t see any. This is normally because of a pinch in the ribbon cable that has damaged data lines or the LCD cable was flexed at the LCD and broke connections. I have also seen this in rare occasions if the digitizer cable is not properly seated....

Chosen Solution I have an IMAC EMC2134 that the hard drive is starting to fail. I want to replace the hard drive before it totally fails. I see some good instructions on here but what I am not sure about is how to deal with the software. How do I get all my data and software off the dying drive and onto my new drive so I can boot up and get back going again once I change out the hard drive?...

Chosen Solution I bought a 616-0435 batter for my iPhone 3 GS and the phone does not start. Lights up the screen all white, stays like that for some 10,20 seconds, turns off and then goes back to the same initial state. I do not know the reference of the original battery because it was so “bloated” that was forcing the iPhone case to open. But was working ! Now I can’t put this to work....
