Chosen Solution how to fix screen display that has gone dark. System still functions, but can hardly be seen? Sounds like your backlight is not lighting up. This could be either a bad backlight or a bad inverter. You will need a spare of one or the other in order to confirm which part is faulty. Fortunately the parts are inexpensive. Chosen Solution My MacBook Pro model 724 (Mac OS X 10.6)keeps having the message popup. “Are you sure you want to shutdown your computer now?” It will shutdown automatically after a certain seconds and the machine will still work as normal after the button “Cancel” is clicked. Chosen Solution Just got my MacBook Pro. Everything works fine, except from one thing. When I have it on my lap, I can hear some kind of clicking sound when it I’m touching something, the battery I think, which comes if you touch your unibody (bottom). Chosen Solution Driving in snow yesterday got stuck put in reverse heard a pop then after that my power steering and breaks got real stiff super hard .. Have to push down with to feet with the breaks… @craigel , check brake booster and if it runs off the same pump as power steering(hydraulic assist instead of vacuum), the belt may be slipping/broke or the pump could be leaking/low/faulty or a damaged line....

There are 2 connectors - “J1” and “J2” J2 is fully broken from the airport card, but the WiFi is still working. Do you have any idea what is the “J2” connection for…? is it just for boost the signal ? Thanks! I think there are two antennas located in the MBP display. You’re getting a signal probably because one antenna is still connected to the airport card....

Is there anyone local who does board repairs? If not see if you have any manufacturer’s warranty and if you don’t have that then you are unfortunately all out of luck.

Other carriers boards will not fit. You should just sell your phone and then buy an unlocked s4, its much easier than trying to buy a motherboard....

Chosen Solution My Samsung UN60EH6050F is having a picture issue. I can hear the audio playing but all that is present is a very dark blue screen. Chosen Solution The issue is that when the screen is working and I press the power button or the phone locks itself after inactivity, the screen goes black. Normally this is not an issue becuase I can press the power button to unlock my phone again, but in this case the screen stays black/wont turn on. The phone is still operating, I can get calls, I can hear notifications, charging the phone works, but the screen just wont turn on....

Chosen Solution Everything works very slow and keeps crashing..It’s only 1 week old ..Not many apps on and also done a factory reset but still annoyingly slow and Google search freezes darrylwood6969 , Best to return it for refund/replacement if already experiencing issues and factory reset did not fix.Good luck. Chosen Solution I need help. I really hope one of your iFixit tech guys reads this. I have an MSI GS63VR 6RF. I managed to replace the GPU fans, as you guys probably know, they have issues. In the midst of doing so, I managed to snap off the WiFi connectors for my antenna, you know, the tiny little circular bits, now they’re stuck in the ends of the antennas, I know I can just get a WiFi USB stick to remedy the issue but is there any way to get those little pieces out, maybe with pair of really small tweezers or a strong magnet?...

Not to let the cat out of the bag here guys but if the clip breaks off, no worries. I use a small piece of screen protector cut to perfectly fit between the connector and the flex cable. This shims the flex cable down to touch the pins on the bottom of the connector that the latch normally pushes it down into....
