Chosen Solution While trying to repair a Nexus 7, the locking connector was removed from the Main Motherboard (sigh, it was taken off by mistake). Nothing else happened to the motherboard and the connector came off as clean. Can the connector be reattached by soldering it back on, or will a new motherboard need to be ordered? Chosen Solution Trying to remove silicone caulk that is all over my new tub surround. Tried goo gone and mineral spirits but only thing working is a razor but it just keeps coming out I would go with Goof Off Pro Strength Remover - doesn’t really matter which can type you use. It contains acetone and xyelene, so it’s not great for plastics but I’ve used it for paint stripping before and it worked very well for how cheap it is (~$5)....

If I’m close to the routers/APs it works great but as soon as I step away the connectivity drops to the point where I can’t use it. Can it just be heated, as if removing it, and pressed back into place? @never20ld don’t do anything other than checking the battery for now. A bloating battery will always push the screen out before it would deform the back....
Chosen Solution So I replaced my iPhone 6 screen back in march. I noticed in July that when my phone starts to get warm it creates duplicate images of the icons under the icons. Almost like a ghost image below. I figured maybe one of the connections got loose so I opened it back up and made sure everything was secured. This only tends to happen if the phone is being used or warm....

Chosen Solution I have a kdl60ex. Was watching TV then picture disappeared but still have sound. Tried all the resets I read about, and nothing. The screen is still back lit. No noticeable difference in power lights. I have removed the back panel but don’t know what I’m looking at. Any help on what and how to diagnose would be very helpful @lunitik start by shining a flashlight (in a darkened room)at an angle against the screen (sound going so you know you are on a working station), see if you can make out shadows, silhouettes etc....

Besides audio not working (my fault, was too rough with the wire I think), it worked perfectly fine, functioning like normal. Tonight however, it suddenly started acting weird. I use a great deal of homebrew and have never had issue with it, but while trying to read on my DSi, the screens began to degrade in quality, words becoming illegible due to weird x’s throughout them....

Is there a way to fix this or is it not worth the effort? Don’t touch it if it’s working otherwise. Unless you want to experience a phone that’s totaled out due to the cost of the screen alone, live with it as you’re extremely lucky if it’s a crack....

Chosen Solution 2014 Chevy Traverse overheating, had the thermostat changed but it is still overheating. What else could be the source. Hi @sweet_pc Don’t know your vehicle but are you losing coolant? If not, a check that you could do is with a cold engine, remove the radiator cap and then start the engine and allow it to warm up. Observe the coolant in the neck of the radiator. After a while when the engine warms the thermostat will open and you should see the coolant start to “flow” (or swirl) in the neck of the radiator indicating that it is being pumped through the system....

Somethin tells me you damaged the cable, while you were in there. The volume, mute and power button are all on the same cable. Unfortunately iFixit doesn’t currently sell just the camera glass but a few google searches will tell you how to fix it and where to purchase one. I hope this helps....

The camera is still working with out no problem but the shatterd glass annoys the $@$* out of me and its letting in dust! Is there a way to change the “sapphire glass” as easy as on the iphone 6?
