Chosen Solution I don’t know where they go now. @ozmerelda21 Ouf, that’s a tough one! It’s always very! important to keep screws very organized, especially if the repair spans over days. Having several of iFixit’s magnetic mats is invaluable. You’ll need a digital caliper and measure each screw. Then I’d go ahead and read through all the guides that’s available on iFixit’s device page for this device. That should get you through the most screws, but I don’t know of any guides or complete screw placement charts for the device :/ PS!...

Chosen Solution I recently replaced the battery of my MacBook Pro I followed the iFixit guide directions to the T, after my original battery basically was going dead. After finishing up, I tried turning the laptop on, but nothing happens when pressing the power button. Tried SMC reset but no luck. When I plug the battery into the charger, MagSafe charger is Amber, but never gets Green. Even if the battery is unplugged from the logic board and the charger is plugged in, no dice....

Chosen Solution I have replaced the DVD with a SSD 1TB drive and I cannot erase it, nor fix it, nor apply Disk Utility´s first aid. I formatted the disk vía USB box and it worked fine, I transferred the information onto it and when in the DVD bay, the disk can be read but not written. I switched with the main hard disk and it works fine. I replaced the disk in the bay with a 500GB mechanical disk and it works fine....

Chosen Solution So I noticed that my cleaning station no longer cleans the shaver (the water doesn’t seem to be pumped) it only is capable of drying. I opened it up (actually not super difficult, but need to be careful), and eventually I got to the motor of the pump. It appears to be all rusty (no surprise, since the design places it under the water level, and only thing blocking the water are seals)....

Chosen Solution The right most quarter of my touchbar has no backlight and the 2nd quarter from the right has started to flicker. Ouch the Trach Bar is failing! Did you have a liquid spill or drop something on it? Its a big job to replace but it can be done.

Chosen Solution My ‘RYOBI25cc petrol strimmer has begun to create vibrations through the handholds. The engine seems to be running ok, and I continued using it ok. Apart from ending up with unacceptable buzzing and humming in my hands afterwards. Is there an adjustment to the way the engine runs to prevent excessive vibration? Any ideas gratefully received. Tom Check the other end of the trimmer, where the string is, to make sure that all is ok on that end....

Chosen Solution Hi. My QN55Q6 turned on the other day, went pop, then no picture at all. No backlight. Replaced power supply board, backlight came on just fine, but the picture is nothing but colored lines that move. There is no physical damage to the LCD panel that I can see and was working fine before the pop. Remote not working to power tv on/off either. Any ideas? Could it be the cable between power supply and main board?...

Chosen Solution I’ve repaired many iPhones throughout my life and all of them have gone smoothly until today. I replaced my iPhone 8 Plus screen and it worked after I replaced it. I then continued to install the camera and found that one of the cameras didn’t work and so I left the phone on the table opened up until I could get a replacement camera for the phone. Later I reattached all the cables and found that the screen doesn’t turn on....

Chosen Solution Hi, my screen flickers for around two minutes on startup with vertical bars showing on the display, then the flickers fade away. It only does this if it’s not recently been used, so it’s as though the flickering goes away after it has warmed up? Here’s the service manual for the clock that may help you to fix it. The manual is for the Singapore and Australian model variants. On p.8 it describes how to dis-assemble the clock so that the LCD board (display) can be removed....

Found a guide and the part on the link! yes this is the issue of flex cable which connects the screen with the board. may be it is lose from its connector or it must be replaced

Chosen Solution My older model ice maker in the door worked well as long as I occasionally removed the excess that had solidified. Yesterday I had a helper who jerked it out before it was actually thawed out enough which pulled the stem up too tall and I can’t get it to go back down. The metal stem is for the the ice bucket to sit on. Now it won’t sit on the space appropriately now....

Chosen Solution Hello all!I did something really silly: I was replacing a lower speaker on iPhone 8 plus and I accidentally broke the two lower display ribbon cables when removing the screen (see attached PIC #1). I have a couple of questions:1) I was wondering if it is possible to replace only the metal tray/bracket part on the display assembly where the ribbon cables connect to the display? Sorry I don’t know what this part is called, it’s the big metal part that covers the back of the screen, it looks like it’s held in with 10 screws (see attached PIC #2)....

Chosen Solution I recently had to replace the belt in the player, but now the play, rewind, and fast forward buttons will not stay down. They still work, but I have to hold them down. Does anyone know how I can repair this? The most common cause of this is that the belt is not placed inside the unit correctly. Without pulling the service manual for this, I can’t easily describe the belt pathway, but this is where you should look....
