Chosen Solution Recently my mac mini failed critically while streaming videos. The screen started garbling, then went a weird pink colour. Now it wont fully boot, after showing the apple logo with the boot progress bar for a few seconds it flashes to a white screen with some faint vertical banding. I managed to disabled the discrete GPU (Radeon 6630M) and now it boots to desktop but the graphics are pretty awful using the integrated GPU....

Chosen Solution I want to replace my iPhone 6s display I want to know is the 3D Touch layer preinstalled in the new OEM display from ifixit or does it have to be removed from the original display The screens from iFixit have the 3D touch panel incorporated in the screen assembly. You need only to transfer: the home button, the metal plate covering the 3D panel, and the front camera assembly....

Chosen Solution Hi, I’ve got a Sony KD-49XE8396 TV that will switch on show the Sony logo then the Android logo and then switches off, and then blinks red 6 times. I’ve read that this is the backlight, and during it showing the initial logos I can see that the left side is definitely darker. I’ve also read that you can bypass the error to get it working but I’d prefer to fix it if at all possible....

Chosen Solution I got Samsung UE40D6100 LED-LCD After i bought new remote for my samsung, after couple weeks of using it, my TV shutting down after 30 seconds. I checked everything possible: removed all devices no sleeping mode Update (07/03/2018) I checked all internal cables, no seen damage. I also tried to make factory settings reset (info+menu+mute+power). Still shutting down Maybe i should replace power supply board? tomisultra since you already checked the settings to make sure it is not in sleep mode etc....

Chosen Solution I replaced my iphone 6 plus display last night and now typing on the keyboard is much slower, it isn’t recognizing key strokes as fast as it did with the original display and we have to type “harder”. Is this a “learning” thing, or did I not put a cable in tight enough or, … Faulty screen, basically all are refurbished and some use thicker glass or OCA which is slightly resistant, so touch isn’t as responsive....

But tonight her aunt called back and it turns out that, from what they describe, she can barely hear sound from her ear speaker, when she turns on the ‘Speaker’ button during a call it does not work at all, and the oddest being that my girlfriend can not hear her so well....

If the external monitor’s display is also not steady then there may be a problem with the motherboard or the GPU or possibly with the graphics drivers....

Chosen Solution hello, i’ve got psp 3004 by sony, it doesn’t allow me to play games without entering pro update, when i open pro update it’s just whole black.. no button works there, even removing battery only works if i want to do anything else Try doing a system restore after backing any data up to a memory stick. Chosen Solution Hello, I recently bought psv slim on ebay. Visual everything looks fine and in good state. Issue is that battery is almost empty and if you plug usb to charge (from electricity outlet with phone charger, laptop usb or power bank (already tried different usb cabels)) it’s not charging at all while psv itself on. If you turn off the psv then it charges for about 10 minutes (always the same time) and then you can use console for some time....

I understand I have to upgrade to High Sierra 10.13 to get that EFI update, or whatever it is, to make the OWC Aura Pro X2 SSD work. Fine. Chosen Solution Im having a strange issue with my iPhone 8 for about 3 days randomly restarting. I replaced the battery myself about 2 weeks ago with one unbranded one I bought off eBay. It was working absolutely fine until 3 days ago. The battery still charges fine and shows 100% in capacity. if I press the power button there is a slow response. If I press the volume up or down for more than a sec it will go all the way up or all the way done as though I have kept it pressed for quite a few seconds....

Chosen Solution I ordered a new battery from ifixit on 02/13. I used it to replace my 6-year old battery. I just noticed that the new battery condition on my mac showed: replace now. I have not use it for 2 months, why does this happen ? Update (04/12/2020) Please see the image. It shows the battery is in perfect condition, but the system showed battery condition: replace now. Chosen Solution Well, I like the iFixit community and the products they sell but I’m a bit disappointed with replacing batteries for macbook they have. I’ve contacted the customer support for the second time after that the first battery I bought in June was defective. I get a free replacement but also it give me problems after only eight months, it’s life was dropped to 28% in only 340 loadcyces. As suggested I’ve contacted them to report this problem and they are shipping me the last free replacement battery....

I’ve just bought a replacement sim card reader as the previous did not work. the wifi/bluetooth do not work but I bought a replacement antenna, I am wondering if this is the cause? also the external speaker does not work does anybody know why the external speaker wouldn’t work? Chosen Solution Is there any adapter card to use with a Samsung EVO 860 SSD for upgrading a MacBook Air (13, Early 2014 model) ? I do see an adapter given by a couple of suppliers for Mac Book Air 2012 model only. Thanks. I personally don’t recommend using M.2 SSD’s in Mac systems using these adapters. I’ve taken out quite a few failed adapters and SSD’s. I do recommend sticking with either the OWC, Transcend or the custom Apple SSD’s....

Chosen Solution So I have this Asus laptop that turns into a tablet and it works great but the screen (about 10 secs after starting up) turns to a light green tent and then any image on the screen will remain on screen in a light tent like a stain on the screen. Cloths become purple and when you scroll it leaves like a trail. Any idea’s to what it might be would be very helpful and i’m new to the ifixit forums but i love their screw driver sets....
