I’ve performed an SMC reset and NVRAM reset, but they did not help. The logic board had been replaced with the one provided by iFixIt, so I suppose that the logic board may not be an issue. Chosen Solution Can a 250v outlet for a clothes dryer be used to power a 240v tig welder? Thanks. R. R. A dryer outlet is usually rated for 230v at 30 amps, 60hz in the United States. Look up your welder, it may consume more than 30amps. A miller 252 takes 42 amps at 230v. If you have that welder, than you cannot use it in that socket unless you upgrade your wiring to your outlet and the breaker in your service panel or sub panel....

Chosen Solution I am a first-time repairer, I was replacing the Joy-con on my Switch using the tools I’d received in the Joy-con repair kit, and i accidentally popped off the battery connector. I am trying not to panic here, but I have no soldering tools. I presume superglue would be too risky a solution? no you should solder the connector in place cause the pins contact to the logic board will be bad....

R2495 is a resistor, not a capacitor. While you can usually get away with not replacing a capacitor, the same can not be said for resistors. In this case, this resistor is acting as a pull-down resistor, insuring that the line it is connected to is tied to ground....

I shipped it off to Toshiba and since I’ve received it back, the front foot bumper strip that covers the screw holes keeps falling off. Chosen Solution Hi, I have Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930F phone which has been dropped and has a cracked outer glass (at least it seems it is just the glass but not the LCD). It is still recognized by the computer and top LED and bottom buttons are lit except that the screen is totally black. I thought it is firmware issue so I tried all those combinations to hard reset it , get into recovery mode etc....

No, devices like iPads and iPhones use very specific parts that are not interchangeable as far as I know. You may be able to hack together a solution but it would not be too stable and likely require skilled soldering.

Chosen Solution I replaced the battery in my iPhone 5 and now the LCD screen no longer works. The phone powers on, vibrates, and even responds to siri, but the LCD screen does not have an image. I did notice that the screen shows somewhat of a dim backlight, therefore I know the screen is getting power, just isn’t getting an image? If so, check to make sure that your computer’s bios recognizes the HDD by booting into your computers bios and checking if it is listed under the device specifications or drive list. If it is, you will need to reinstall your operating system to the HDD to use your computer again....

Chosen Solution Hi, I replaced a cracked LCD screen following your Instructions. Went down smoothly and the Display shows everything except that the colors are completely off. (A bit like the Comic Book effect in Photobooth, if that helps) Took it apart again and checked all the connections, they seem to fit. Microphone, iShight, antenna etc. work well. Chosen Solution The phone was dropped and landed on the bottom corner where the hinge is located. The affected area’s side will not fully open and feels stuck when attempted. I can only half open the fold. I viewed teardown videos but I am not confident that opening the front LCD will reveal the affected area and that I can fix it.
