Chosen Solution Where is the measurement taken to distinguish between the 38mm & 42mm watches? The diagonal measure: Top left to the bottom right corner. Standard watches tend to be round so there is no long dimension possible. Most displays are measured this way (laptops, monitors & TV’s)

I always let it decharge to <20% before I recharge it to 100% and then unplug it - trying to have preserve the battery life as good as possible. Chosen Solution I have tried on two displays to separate the LCD and front screen. The closest I got at being successful, I had used my hot plate set at 125 C. When I finally got them apart the long sides of the screen had curled up. Now, I understand that these have a “polarizer”, is that what seems smokey? That is what curled up on me. These are not cheap to buy everyday to practice on....

Chosen Solution Since replacing the battery in my mid-2012 MacBook Pro with an ifixit.com replacement battery, it now shuts down randomly. I’ve heard about a firmware update that could resolve this but don’t know the exact details. Can someone share how to fix this? Try updating the firmware. See if that works. If that doesn’t work then try cleaning the battery contacts with some alcohol and a toothbrush (carefully). If that also doesn’t work then it might be that you got a bad battery....

Chosen Solution I recently replaced the battery in my 3rd Generation iPod (A1040 20GB). It briefly powered up, worked and played music but the battery was low on charge and it quickly died. However, when I connected it to a wall charger it wouldn’t charge. I have the same result when I connect it USB to a computer. I’ve tried several different kinds of wall chargers with the same results. Chosen Solution Ringtone volume is very low. On call it is very quiet Clean out all the speakers on the device with a toothbrush and some alcohol, and check the quality of sound then. Try going into Settings > Sounds and Haptics, and dragging the Ringer and Alerts slider around a bit to see if it changes the volume of the ringer. If nothing else seems to be helping and you’ve tried factory resetting the device, perhaps take it into a service store for a diagnostic or if you’re able to yourself, replace the earpiece speaker and see if the quality of audio coming through on calls improves....
