Chosen Solution I have a Phillips model 24pfl3603. My screen is black. I can’t see the menu options at all. I was able to see the outlines of characters moving a little at first but now it’s gone. The only thing I can barely see is the logo when I first power on. Sound is perfect. I’ve checked all connections. Unplugged for 10 mins. I’ve even changed outlets… just incase. I thought I had sat on the remote and somehow lowered brightness but if that were the case I would still be able to see the menu....

Chosen Solution I’m beginning to think that it’s an LED background problem. How much is this going to cost me to get fixed? It may cost you a bouple of bucks but is definitely worth of. Given the model’s age it will be around that time to replace the backlight array which in the UK where I’m based wold cost you around 50 pounds. I’d charge another 60 pounds for the strip-down and rebuild so that’d be £110 total....
Chosen Solution Have the same problem on a 2010 white plastic macbook running high sierra. Nothing I found on line worked. Then one day I booted it from a Linux Ubuntu install USB stick and the sound worked fine all the whie that OS was booted so mine is not a hardware problem. It went back to silence when I rebooted into High Sierra. Does that tell anyone here what needs to be fixed on mine?...

How would I go about this? @haydenconner34 going by your description this sounds like a TAB error. Take the back off and see if you can see the flat ribbon cables that go into the LCD panel. Apply some pressure on those cables at the place where the line originates from....

Chosen Solution Anyone know why the auxiliary cigarette lighters will not work? Already checked fuses. Check the outlet for power with a multi meter . If theres no joy then trace the wiring back to its source and look for bad grounds or broken wires . Hope this helps
