Chosen Solution Hello! I got two scratch marks on my phone (one seems really deep). Because of them my screen stops responding at all while typing, scrolling the web or etc but everything else is ok. Any possible ways to get rid of them the easy way? I just don’t want to buy another screen and replace it. Sadly it seems that the deep scratch might of damaged the digitizer. That would be my best guess....

Chosen Solution have a halogen floor lamp. someone shortened it now i need to add pole back in for height. You should be able to get replacement pieces for the pole (depending on how thick the pole is or if there are any decorative aspects) from any home improvement store. Home Depot, Lowe’s, Rona. You will have to check to see if you have enough power cord available for the extension though....
Chosen Solution My daughter’s imac shut down today and won’t complete it’s boot up. First off, you have to pull the power cord and plug it back in for it to respond to the power button. If you don’t unplug/plug the cord, it won’t do anything when you push the power button. So, once it starts, it makes the chime, the fan comes on full blast, the Apple logo comes up and the progress bar starts to crawl to the right....

I have over 25 yrs. experience as a mechanic .I have not worked on a 3.6 before this is charity work .Any help would be appreciated. Remove the bolt holding the balancer to the crank . A normal gear puller will work but don’t pull from the outer ring as this can damage the rubber try to get on to the inner edge right next to the shaft....

Chosen Solution I took it to the “Genius” bar and was told the problem was caused by my logic board. The genius, picked up my laptop and flexed the bottom. The lines/other disruptions showed up on the screen and the System crashed. I was told since I replaced the optical drive with another hard drive and replaced the battery, I should take it to a specific shop to do the repair....

Unit 1: powers on, green light blinking, constant orange light. No WiFi but ventilation works! Reset after removing power doesn’t work > holding 6 seconds lead to blinking LED and after release it changes to constant orange light again Unit 2: powers on, powers on, green light blinking, yellow blinking light....
Chosen Solution I bought a used Note 20 Ultra, and there are gaps in the side of the phone that indicate that the back is not on properly. I think it has to do with the adhesive; there is a bit of adhesive on the side. When I press down on the back of the phone the gaps close, but they open once I release it. Do you think applying something like an iOpener would melt the adhesive enough so that the phone will close and maintain its IP68 rating?...
Chosen Solution Anyone knows how to remove the camera lens ring in the back ? Not just the lens glass but the ring itself? I ordered the new ring that comes with the lens on in and need to replace it, but in order to do so I need to remove my old ring from the back. I recommend a heat gun and a lot of heat. Get Sharp flat metal object, go under the ring and slowly move it up off the frame....
Chosen Solution Replaced screen digitizer and LCD and now screen is unresponsive once closed all the way but when open it works. Can you tell me what to do or what could be wrong. Pull the screen and make sure the connection are clean and secure. Also, make sure there isn’t anything on the battery like a misplaced screw. This usually happens because something is putting upward pressure on the screen....

Chosen Solution this is my first time fixing or replacing a phone screen although im preety good at things like this, I ordered a replacemnt GLASS on ebay, which my lcd is fie just the glass was cracked, so I get it all taken apart, I heat it up to separate the broken glass off the plastic frame, and when i get it off I notice right away that my replacement screen is see through, like lass, and the broken one i just removed has a dark, square, thats like almost sort of greasy stuck to the broken glass still, that thing is not coming off, and that dark square is broken too from me taking the screen off, i thnk it might be the touchcreen sensor or something, so I didnt know about this, is any way to get that part only?...

Also it will click with much less pressure than the left button As with most mice, the large lever/button you push with your finger activates a very small microswitch. If this switch is damaged or defective, the actuator on it may get stuck in either the up or down position, or simply lose its tactile click....
Chosen Solution It will at times go for weeks or days without shutting down, when it does it makes a real loud noise from the speaker blink a couple times and turn off. I turn back on and see some lights but they shut right off, so I unplug and wait 20 minutes and plug back in and it works fine. @eloco_dereno68 sounds like a power board issue. Post some images of your boards with your question....
Chosen Solution I recently changed the HDD to SSD. The SSD is KIOXIA TC10 which has read/write speed over 500 mbps. However, the speed accessed by Blackmagic disk speed test is Read 400mbps/ Write 200mbps. I know some early product of A1278 has a thin SATA2 cable which may not support SATA3 speed. However, SATA2 is at most 300mbps. The current SSD can run read speed at 400mbps which is faster than the limit of SATA2....
