Chosen Solution Before I start - 42LM6700 share the same power supply board as 47" sibling, 47LM6700. The power supply model number is eax64744201(1.3) eay62608902. There are 2 transistor attached to heat sink, 1 has reading while the other don’t. (I try touching the pin with meter). Chosen Solution I am wondering what the adhesive is that is used to stick the bezel back into the top display casing ? It was super hard to remove and I have tried 3m 300LSE ( clear looking double sided tape ) but its not really sticking. I think Apple uses a 3M product but not sure what it is - please help as I would love to get a roll of it to have on hand for all repairs I do...

Chosen Solution I have a whirlpool WTW5800SW0 top loading washer that will occasionally make the buzz/humm and not will not spin at the start of a load. If I open the top and manually move the agitator 1/4 turn or so by hand it will then work properly. Since it seems to work fine once moved, i have no idea where to start on troubleshooting w/ this thing. Thanks. @niteflite the less likely things that could be causing this are the agitator dogs and/or the direct drive coupling....

When I send my MacBook Pro to Apple to get repaired for the flexgate/ statlight issue with the display I know they replace the whole upper part of the MacBook Pro when this is done do they add any revisions to the display such as the 2mm longer display cable that was on the 2018 model to try and prevent the issue from arising again....

Chosen Solution I have a chip in the bezel of my rear camera. Everything I see is in regards to replacing the whole camera lens. Has anyone just replaced the bezel? Chosen Solution I’m doing a system restore and its stuck in recovery mode can you please advise? Try to reboot in to safe mode by pressing F8 and then run chkdsk /f /r in command prompt fix the error found and try to system restore to good known last configuration

Chosen Solution So, I just replaced my battery wiTH ifixit battery replacement kit. Device powered back on successfully and seems to work fine. However, now I get a white/yellow light bleeding through the top of near speaker. Any experience with this or tips to fix the issue. Thank you! Chosen Solution So I followed the instructions and replaced the battery on my MacBook but now after starting it the keyboard and mouse won’t work. The power key does to start it up, but after that no input plus the fans seem to go up to full speed and stay there even if I plug in a USB keyboard just to get into the thing. Chosen Solution My screen went black (no lit up screen or light to the Apple logo on the back) so I took the screen off/apart to expose the display LVDS cable. The connection on the underside of the screen had what appeared to be corrosion on it so I replaced the cable. (Photo attached) With the new cable the screen and Apple logo were lit up again but still just a blank screen....

Chosen Solution I replaced the “front panel” of my iPad 2 because one of my kids stepped on it and cracked it. The iPad worked fine for many months with the broken screen, I just replaced it for safety more than anything (before one of the kids got a splinter of glass in the fingers!) Anyway, I bought a front panel replacement kit from ifixit, removed the broken panel in 3 billion pieces, cleaned off the old adhesive and stuck the new front panel on....

Chosen Solution I had a CD tower fall on my screen, no idea how as no one was in the room and it wasn’t affected by prior earthquakes, effectively killing the TV. I am needing to replace the screen and have already tried through Hisense support without avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It might be cheaper to get a new tv as displays for tv’s can be very expensive and at that point, its almost the cost of a new tv, plus you have to take apart the tv and not damage anything....

Chosen Solution Hi, so yesterday I removed the LCD of my MacBook. After reassembly, the Fan is running at full speed and kernel_task is massively slowing down the machine. This may be due to my disassembly, it is also possible that it is caused by an Update (right now it’s on 10.13.2). Upon further investigation I noticed that when I unplug the iSight/Airport cable, it runs fine. I also tried plugging the Airport cable into my old 2008 MacBook, which works fine....

Chosen Solution Dear ifixit team, I have just got my new pixel xl phone few days ago. I am enjoying it and it’s an amazing phone. Today I found the the top right corner of the screen is coming slightly off Like about 0.5 mm. Like the adhesive behind is getting little loose or it was not firmly pressed during manufacturing. I cannot give the phone back as I am in UAE and I got it from UK and it will be a hassle sending it back all the way there....

Chosen Solution A few days ago I dropped it. It was faced down on the screen. I picked it up and started to use it but I couldn’t touch anything. The home button and the power on/off button works perfectly fine, but I still can’t touch anything. I’m so scared and i haven’t told my mom yet. I’m trying to hurry up and find a solution before she picks me up in a few days....
