Chosen Solution I know i’m now doomed and the only way to get it scanning again is by apple… but can you explain on why it did this…? I purchased the full assembly from ifixit, I even transferred the original home button to the new screen… how can this happen? and how can this be prevented? One of two things happened: Too much force was placed on the home button flex when it was being removed from the old display (this thing is pretty fragile) and caused the issue....

Chosen Solution I have a 1981 Craftsman GTV 16 Varidrive tractor that likes to run at a really high temperature. After running for an hour, it is so hot that upon pulling out the dipstick, the oil on it is steaming. Is this because older lawnmowers run hotter, or do I have a problem? This does not appear to be an issue, unless the steam is actually exhaust. If exhaust is coming out of the dipstick (oil pan), that means you have an issue internally in the engine....

Chosen Solution I use my phone every second even using it while in the bathroom and using it while charging and yes I’m addicted to it but last night I drop my Samsung a12 in soup and I picked it up within 2 or 3 seconds and also tried sipping some soup out of the port and other parts and rinsing it and then I just started using it thinking it was fine and then the next morning when I woke up I wanna charge my phone and it won’t work at first I started to look for more answers on the internet and then I tried dipping the bottom part of the phone in water and it started charging after a few minutes later the phone kept going on and off (and this was the original phone charger that I was using and I also dropped my phone multiple times but in water and it would work perfectly so dumb me thinking it would be fine and thinking it wouldn’t need to try drying it) what should I do?...

Chosen Solution Hello, My SAMSUNG LCD LED TV, suddenly stopped showing the picture, while backlight and sound is ok. I checked the voltage with multimeter, it seems I have voltage on all the boards (Power supply board, main board and T-con board ). Where exactly should I check the voltage and where the problem can be? UPDATE: I measured the Voltage on T-Con board on several points, it seems that in the inlet (from the main board) I have around 12V but in the outlet (towards panels) Ihave no Voltage....

Chosen Solution Message says my mp160 canon printer ink has run out. Printer off line . These two messages are wrong. I am on line …and I have replaced the ink cartridges. What’s wrong Absolute con. If you hold down the red sign that looks like a triangle inside a circle for 5 second miraculously the printer resets and you all of a sudden you have inc again. Chosen Solution The laptop is on and all the flash light showed power on. Then it lead me to the sign in page which is normal. Then after signing in, it should be jump to the desktop but it didn’t. It continue black out but I see the arrow moving without lag and I can still see McFree notification at the bottom without failure. Chosen Solution When I turn on the Gameboy, only part of the screen is visible. It seems to have shifted about 1cm to the right. On the left side of the screen, there is about a 1cm thick vertical space with nothing in it. You could use one of the many guides here on iFixit or YouTube to open it up and reseat the display.

Chosen Solution So my brothers phone has a broken back but the screen is rather unscathed and only has a little crack at the top that was there when my dad gave it to him except when we try to turn it on since the back broke and he said over the holidays it over heated and now it started to flicker and then black and i cant get it to show any signs of life...

I know that the phone works because I hear boot up sound. Also when I press unlock button and then volume up/down keys I can hear the volume change sound. Chosen Solution Ive been seeing this white spot on my screen, and the reps at Best Buy said it was a pressure point on the screen. I tried using a small vacuum pump to try and pull the screen back up from that spot, but it hasn’t fixed it. Best Buy Geek Squad really doesn’t know much about repair other than selling a solution. That white spot could be a couple things like a pressure point if the frame was bent or the battery swelling, although that doesn’t seem likely as that tablet came out just last year....

Chosen Solution My MacBook Pro 2013 internal OS drive failed but I managed to take the drive out from the MacBook. Now, should I give this drive to a data recovery expert or can I recover data on my own? Is there some guide for this? Chosen Solution when idling you can feel a miss jrcorbett, it would help if you would tell us what engine you have? What transmission, how many miles, last tune-up etc. Also you should tell us if the Service engine light is on or not. The first thing I would do is to hook it up to a scanner and see if the computer throws any codes. There is a whole lot more than the plugs or wires that could cause this....

Chosen Solution My chromebook recently has had the z x c v m , . space bar and even the left shift key stop working, b and n are still functional, even more strange is that sometimes the keys work perfectly fine with no issues, other times they don’t register at all, if I plug in a USB keyboard or use the on screen keyboard every key works fine, so I don’t think this is a software issue, I checked under one of the keys and found no dirt, even tried to push down the pad myself, and the key sometimes still didn’t register, help!...

Chosen Solution I have an Adata 256GB SSD that just died all of a sudden, PC would not see it in BIOS, and plugging it in externally to other PC’s would not do anything, it wouldn’t even show up in disk management. I ended up taking it apart and reflowing it, and surprisingly, It Worked! Now it shows up in disk management as unallocated, and my GetData Recover My Files software could see and scan it....

Chosen Solution Hello, I have an alcatel one touch 5042x. After replacing the display glass, when I touch an icon, another program opens,(touch setting, open tv), and some icons are not executed. Can you help me? Your digitizer cable may be mis-aligned. Make sure it is inserted properly, and clean it too with a dab of alcohol. The digitizer is the outside screen that detects touch. Hope this helps!
