However, all the guides I find are for 5th gen ipod upgrades and I’m worried if I follow one of those it’ll be different than the 5.5gen. I took it to a technician who advised me the best course of action would be to take it apart and sell the components as trying to fix it wouldn’t be economically feasible when labour costs are accounted for. Chosen Solution Hi, I have a MBA mid 2011 that shuts down when it get just a litte hot. I already replaced the thermal compound and idle temps are around 42 degrees celcius. i installed a couple of temp monitors and can se that the cpu temps shoot up quickly when doing just a litte work or playing a youtube video or so. Running the computer in my cold garage in 5 degrees celsius helps and tells me that the problem is indeed heat related but could it be other that the cpu?...

If it were me, I would not submerge my phone under water. In order to repair the screen, the adhesive/waterproofing have to be removed from the front and the back of the phone. Its very possible that there could be leaks. But then again…I would not submerge my phone in water no matter what....

Chosen Solution I replaced the SSD on my Early 2014 Macbook Air 11". The Macbook was running Big Sur, so the EFI firmware should have been up to date. However, the new drive does not show up in disk utility. Any recommendations how the issue could be diagnosed? If you are trying to use Internet recovery that won’t work as the macOS it is based on is the older version. You’ll need to swap it out with your original so you can setup a USB thumb drive as an OS installer using your systems Big Sur OS installer....

If you are thinking it’s harder to break, thats not the case! It’s really only harder to scratch! The harder something is it becomes easier to fracture, think plexiglass vs plate glass. As it turns out Sapphire is not as transparent then glass, so the thicker it is the less light gets through....

Chosen Solution It was dropped and the screen is cracked and is Black. I can tell it still works after plugging it into a PC. I have sourced a replacement screen, but need a good tutorial to guide me through the operation of replacing it. Change screen and take help from youtube.
Chosen Solution So my iPhone 6s has water damage. The device seems to be in fully working condition other than the fact that the screen becomes unresponsive when not touching it. The touch id doesn’t work as well. Example of problem: So I unlock my iPhone I play a video on youtube. The touch screen becomes unresponsive after 20 seconds or so but the video keeps on playing the volume buttons work and so does the home button....
