Chosen Solution The clutch cover on my wife’s 13” Macbook Air (I believe it’s a 2013) is cracked. I haven’t seen a repair guide that specifically addresses it. Do I need to remove the display? That means taking apart pretty much the whole thing, which doesn’t thrill me. Also, the screen replacement guides on iFixit don’t seem to discuss the actual removal and re-installation of the clutch cover, which may be straightforward but I don’t feel like fumbling my way through it without knowing what I’m doing....
Chosen Solution Will replacing that flex ribbon that runs from the home button to the board along the backplate on the iPhone 6/plus cause the error 53 issue when you replace the touch Id sensor? I ripped that flex. The home button/touch Id is fine. fingerprint and home button are all one unit. the ribbon cable that runs up the back of the shielding is just a ribbon cable. as long as you dont change the home button then everything should work just fine....

I have a feeling I might have messed up one of the pins on the board. I broke part of the plastic covering and that’s when I realized I was poking at the wrong thing. Chosen Solution I have an iphone 6 on which I replaced the screen and the battery - remarkable that this was all it needed considering it went through the washing machine. Everything works fine unless I connect the home button. When it’s plugged in to the MB, the phone will not turn on. If it’s not plugged in, the phone works fine. Since the phone works when it’s unplugged at the MB or at the home button connector itself, that seems to indicate an issue with the home button — I assume it needs to be replaced, but before I do so, and lose the Touch ID, is there anything else I could check out with the home button?...

It’s fine for the first two hours after I boot it up, maybe a tad of “burn-in” or image retention in the top tool bar. After that, I get flickering lines going vertically and the top of the screen turns purpleish. Image retention as well. It’s gradually becoming worse and worse as well. Chosen Solution So I replaced my A1502 battery a couple of weeks ago and everything seems to be working smoothly. However, when the battery drains to about 4%, the machine abruptly shuts down. When I press the power button, instead of the laptop recognizing the battery is low and flashing the battery low symbol, it tries to boot and shuts down about halfway through the progress bar. Chosen Solution So I just now dropped my iPhone and it wouldn’t turn on so I I plugged it up to the charger thinking it was dead but nothing so I opened it up to see what was wrong and the screw that holds the battery cover on came out and the batter was unplugged and the screw was at the top of the phone under the camera and it was magnetic to the little plate to the behind the camera so I moved the screw and plugged the batter up and it would just show the apple logo repeatedly so I unplugged the battery and then unplugged the lcd and the cameras and the rest of the little plates and plugged it back up but still it does the same thing Update (07/20/2018) It also had a battery replacement a couple of months ago...
