I checked the diodes and they all seemed fine. I checked the fuses and they all seemed fine as well with DCPS. However the tabs and the wire colors do not match perfectly to the original. Some of the tabs are the same which I can adapt with. But the wire colors are not the same which causes me to hold off. I have replaced my cracked I have replaced my cracked iPhone screen a few times and feel comfortable enough to do the same repair on my MacBook. I do know there are some downsides to doing my own repairs. I believe if the phone/laptop is opened it voids some type of warranty but I’m fine with doing that if it means I have a nice new screen....
Chosen Solution Is it possible to just replace the ribbon cable? With a microscope and soldering iron you can. It’s better to go to Apple and pay them to replace the home button. If you prove that you are the owner of that phone, they will replace it and touch id will work. If you replace it yourself, you could risk a boot loop and your touch id obviously wont work....
