Chosen Solution That should be fine. Make sure the 2GB stick is the exact same specs as the original RAM. Then Go to the “About this Mac” on your machine and go to more info and make sure your machine sees the 2GB stick. I was hoping that Majestys’ answer would work, but alas. I have found on some of these “bad port machines” that a lesser RAM chip will work when the higher ones will not....
Chosen Solution I have a late 2008 MacBook Pro that is having problems restoring from sleep mode. Every time I try to wake it up, I am unable to save any of the work in applications that were open previously, unable to open new applications, and unable to save on my desktop. I get this error using sleep mode with both hot corners and accessing it from the apple menu. The only way I can get anything working again is a manual restart....

The following has been done: OWC inline sensor is in the computer. I tried plugging in the original HDD through both the original connection and through the OWC inline connector and both still manage to boot, so it’s not the sensor.SSD is detectable when placed in my external hard drive caddy and has been formatted....

Chosen Solution An old Iphone 5S’s glass screen is coming loose from it’s plastic(?) frame. The phone is otherwise fine, apart from a few scratches. I’m interested in how to glue it properly back, what kind of glue to use, assembling/disassembling processes if needed, and if it could lead to problems if unfixed. Thanks in advance for any help. Chosen Solution For the past two months my Garmin nuvi 3590 LMT regularly loses satellite connections when driving why is this? Instead of regular USB charger, you may prefer to use the charger that comes with antenna receptor. If you are using the original charger built in antenna receptor, and still the same issue, you can circle the cable 3 times over to the GPS stand to make an antenna loop that will strengthen the reception and the device will not lose signal frequently....
Chosen Solution As the title pretty much encapsules, I used the ifixit guide to replace the fans, because the left one started making noise, and even cleaning it out with compressed air didnt help. Unplugging it from the motherboard and leaving it to cool would help for about 12-24 hours but that was it. However after the replacement I am getting the “Power surge on the USB port” error as a repeating loop, pressing “Reset” does nothing because the error pops back up right after clicking the button....
