Chosen Solution Hey everyone- I’m kind of new to board-level repair. I have an 820-3115 macbook pro board here, it had no power due to water damage. After replacing a few capacitors, I found that removing Q3880 allowed the machine to function properly again. The schematic shows that Q3880 is on the T29 boost circut, and when I replaced Q3880 it caused U9410 to blow. I am fine with not having thunderbolt on this machine, and it looks like Q3880 is a transistor for thunderbolt....

Chosen Solution Screw came out that holds the latch which secures the vertical position. Screw access appears to require removing the ball. Chosen Solution Hi, I have read that it’s possibe to add a second hard drive to the iMac mid 2011. There is supposed to be an extra 2,5" drive bay in the new iMac, i just can’t find any directions how to add a new drive in this slot. Does the bay have a connector ready for the added device or do you need some kind of cable for it? And how about the temp sensor issues with the fans going crazy like in the case when try replacing the original main drive....

Chosen Solution Hi – not very technical, but have followed guides here to install SSD on an early 2008 non-unibody MBP. Was wondering if it’s at all possible to put something like a BCM94331PCIEBT4CAX bluetooth card into this unit, so that I can activate Continuity/Handoff on Yosemite. I doubt it’s possible, and the needed connectors are probably not even in this old laptop, but thought I would ask. Thanks! Any other advice or methods of getting a bluetooth 4....

Chosen Solution Any ideas on what could be causing a touch screen being oversensitive after replacement? Apart from 5h8Grateful for any advice. Most likely a faulty screen, try the original (if just cracked glass, but still working fine) or another screen. IIRC, this issue is related to the refurbishment of the screen, either by static issues or cheap polariser and OCA.

Chosen Solution Is it possible to replace this rear camera in a 12 pro max and it remains working 100%? I ask this question because I could see in a video that when replacing the camera in the iPhone 12 it has problems like portrit mode or frizing the image etc. With the latest the version of Ios 14 you can. (it will cause a pop up but functionality will not be affected....

Didn´t find too much on this model when googling. Thanks! I always use tesa tape on all tablets I repair. I do have to custom cut some bits using an exacto knife, but I get excellent hold and fit using it....

Chosen Solution I replaced a faulty keyboard in my MBA, keys “M” to “.” were not working. The new keyboard over 50% of keys do not work. Thought it might be the connection cables, pulled all out and cleaned all, keyboard, track pad and logic board, no difference. If you re-connect the old keyboard is it the same as before?

Chosen Solution I have a model SM-N910H phone a broken rear camera. I’ve been searching and reading, and it appears not all Galaxy Note 4 replacement rear camera modules will works with all different models of this phone. Will a camera from a different model, e.g. SM-N910G, work? Which models are compatible?Can you direct me where to purchase a compatible camera module? Update: I’ve contact several local phone repair shops who all failed to source a compatible camera module....

Chosen Solution I have a magnetic tablet cover. I’ve now found that my tablet is magnetized too. Will this harm my tablet? Anything I touch with my table sticks to. Magnetism will not negatively impact the function of this tablet. A big discussion on it here Rear casing is magnetized, Is this OK?

Chosen Solution I had a screen replace on my iPad Air 2 and I have had to return three times because the screen lifts from the body.i was told they use a liquid glue and it must be something I’m doing.has anyone else had the same issue and is there a fix as it’s getting expensive having to return it to the repair place. You shouldn’t be paying for ‘screen lifting’ issue as the onus is primarily on the repair shop, it was either a bent chassis which they neglected to straighten out, or they used a cheap adhesive that usually is the culprit for weak adhesion....

Chosen Solution Hi, does anybody else have a very small gap of screen light showing between the screen and the rear case just above the volume/mute buttons, I know its quite a common problem when replacing after market screens but wasnt sure if anyone had any answers on fixing it? I thought about dropping a very small amount of superglue on the edge of the rear case to keep the screen held down but not tried it yet, i await some hopefully useful solutions- thanks...

Chosen Solution I have replaced the battery and screen of my old iphone 6s. The new battery works and features such as vibrate when on silent work. The screen on the other hand is not working. The screen sometimes flashes on when I press the home button but most of the time it doesn’t work at all and when the screen does come on it’s back off in the blink of an eye....

Chosen Solution The screen on my Z2 Force flickered for a while. Then one day went completely black! i attached the projector motomod to it and it shows tht while the screen is black i can still navigate, it reads my command(selection of icons/widgets, texting, email) it just doesnt display. Could this be a loose faulty ribbon or the LCD? sidenote ive had the phone for about 1.5 yrs. prior and ofcourse it worked perfectly til this incident...

Chosen Solution One of the two screws on the back case is really stripped. I can’t unscrew it. I tried the rubber band trick and the super glue trick. They both failed. I searched a lot more idea how to get ride of that screw, but i don’t have the tools for thoses tricks (Dremel tool) or i’m afraid to try it (heat the tip of the screwdriver) and end up ruining my 3ds....

Chosen Solution Hi all, just wanted to know why my Shaver will not turn on, it seems the protector over the switch is worn, but I can hear the switch working! When I push the electric cord hard into the shaver, it works, so it cannot be the Batteries, which I seem to read that could have been the problem? However, it should still work if it’s connected to the mains?...

Chosen Solution Accidentally droped it under water. Went to Motorola service and they evaluated that logic was burned and there was corrosion even I put it into rice minutes after accident. Should I replace motherboard? Screen works but does not lites up, if you look carefully will see images are shown, but brightness is too low to be usefull. Touch, speaker, mic, buttons, vibration… all ok @carlosra that is the problem with Rice....

Chosen Solution Hello … My nexus 5 is driving me crazy. All of a sudden it stopped getting 3G . It just stayed in 2G (EDGE). I called the carrier support, they don’t know what to do. This sim works fine in other phones. Other sims also do not get 3g network on this phone. I’ve done a full reset, flashed stock, tried several radios, nothing. Update (10/23/2015) If i set it to LTE preferred, WCDMA preferred or LTE/GSM auto (PRL) it finds the network and it connects in 2G EDGE Only I tested all above and to not work any help ?...
