Chosen Solution The 2 bottom screws (the ones you unscrew first to disassembly) don’t have their nuts. I mean - I can push them and pull them all the way with no interference. When I lift the phone - they can just fall. I’m pretty sure that I saw their nuts broken few months ago and I thought it was nothing important. I guess it was. Chosen Solution Not sure if this helps you. The original Apple 802.11a/b AirPort card (PC card) and the current 802.11n AirPort card (PCI-E 450M) are both Atheros cards. They have had a good track record and the current version of BootCamp supports Windows 8 and has been stable over WiFi. I wonder if the system is up to running Windows 8, as this system only has an Intel i3 chip. Could the dropouts be more a hardware/OS issue (or driver) Vs a bad WiFi card?...

Chosen Solution I just changed my dead optical drive. After reassembling, Airport is not showing up. It says “no Airport card installed”. I may have inadvertently disconnected it. There are 2 cables coming from the screen hinges : on the left the camera cable and on the right the data cable, according to the disassembly text of iFixIt. Where is the Airport card and the cable ??? Your help will be most appreciated and I thank you in advance to take the time to guide me....
Chosen Solution Dear all, I have a iPhone 6 with keeping search fault and I have found that there is one capacitor missed on the ASM chip ASM chip I think I need to replace it for the new one but this chip looks different from any other chips as you can see because there are one IC and eight capacitors on this chip. There could be damaged by soldering or a hot air gun....

It also helps me “how to look for it”, I can not find it online, due to conceptual issues. @alvaroleon that looks like a crossover cable. Any 4 wire cable will work for that. JBL most likely will not supply any of those wires as a repair part.
Chosen Solution Tv showing purple almost like bleed from bottom of screen. Rest of picture seems fine. Tried unplugging for a day, with no luck. TV was never dropped or hit. the_doctor this is an old question that has not been answered. So, this answer is just for completion sake just in case somebody else will have this issue. The purple discoloration is caused by a failed backlight strip. The LEDs on the strip have lost part of their coating....

Chosen Solution One of the springs within the battery compartment broke. Is it possible to replace the spring/spring assembly? The best fix-trick I’ve seen was tinfoil around a snip of rubber band. What you have is a conductive-rubber-ball. It is a common trick with 9V batteries. For tubular cells, the most common fix requires a similar coil spring from another device. Using needle-nose pliers, bend the spiral coils tighter to mesh into the old corroded/broken spring....

Since I need a QWERTZ layout, I just wanted to ask if it is possible to simply replace the existing QWERTY keyboord with a QWERTZ one or if I need to purchase a new top case as well (i am aware that replacing the keyboard is a bit fiddly).By the way: New keycaps are not available in Germany and stickers/mats are not an option for me....
Chosen Solution I replaced the cracked screen on the Surface Pro 4. Although the screen was shattered, the screen still worked perfect previously. I removed the screen and bought a screen replacement. I did the screen switch following many instructions online, but the screen didn’t turn on. I thought maybe the replacement screen was defective or the flex ribbon cable might be bad, or something, I got a new Flex screen cable and I got an additional new screen....
Chosen Solution I replaced the top case, with the keyboard, and now the keyboard is very very weird. Sometimes a few keys will work, other times it wont work at all, ect. No idea what to do, thanks! Reseat that cable that goes into the trackpad from the keyboard. It is a tough one to get in correctly because of the fold.
Chosen Solution I just replaced my keyboard, and everything seems to be back in place and working except for the new keyboard. It seems like that’s usually an issue with not putting the connector back all the way– does the image look correct? Is this keyboard just defective? Even though it may seem correct, it never hurts to unplug and replug the connector. If the problem persists, try cleaning the inside with a toothbrush....
Chosen Solution Hi, I have had to replace the keycaps on my A2179 (early 2020). But the replacement keycaps - from a trustworthy source - are thicker than the original ones. That means they are slightly higher when installed. The description says they are keycaps for A2179 and A2337. The original key kaps are 1.4mm thick, the replacement ones 2mm. So the key caps are slightly above the line of the housing whereas the original ones were flush....

It sounds to me the machine is trying to pass the pressured water, but somehow fails and then the build-up pressure is released by some part that gets ‘ticked’....
