Chosen Solution Had a broken home button which I’ve just replaced today but after reassembly the phone appears to be dead when power button is pressed. It will eventually start and the screen goes from being completely black to a lit up black when home or the power button is pressed, its recognized by iTunes and will sync so all seems to be working fine except the screen. any ideas what the problem may be?...

Hi As far as I know you could probably use any small screws HOWEVER… I don’t think this gen MacBook airs keyboard can be replaced easily as its riveted in place This takes a lot of time and patience as it’s quite hard to remove but once you have it out you just put the new screws where the rivets went If you need any help please ask Thanks:-)

Doesn’t seem like the machine actually shuts down just the screen? I’m thinking I need to reseat the graphics cards with some fresh arctic silver paste? You’ll need to see if you can access your system from a second Mac using screen sharing when you loose the display....

Chosen Solution my friend who is adept in repairing laptops took my pc apart today to clean out dust and add new thermal paste to my cpu and gpu. upon finishing we reinstalled windows and upon loading up my computer my ethernet adapter is completely gone. i have no idea how to get it back. i still have my wifi adapter but no ethernet adapter. Update (07/11/2020) Upon looking i realized that my friend accidentally disabled the ONBOARD NIC and that’s what disabled my Ethernet adapter upon re-enabling it....
Chosen Solution I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro 13” Unibody, Late 2012 Mac mini, and a 27” Thunderbolt Display and they all smell bad. They all come from different places and they smell this way right out of the box so it isn’t something that is in my house. All of them have been disassembled and cleaned thoroughly but still smell. It gets worse with heat and it almost smells like melting crayons and gives me a headaches if I smell it for too long....
Chosen Solution I replaced a screen and verified it works, however if I have the front sensor/face cable plugged in I get stuck in a boot loop. I’ve already taken out the screws and try to power on to eliminate a short. What did I do wrong, I don’t see any obvious damage to any part There could be a very small tear in the flex cable. Aftermarket screens are required to have thicker “bezels” than apple screens because of some copyright thing. Any screen that isn’t apples has to be thicker. I’m sorry but you can’t get around this unless you want to pay apple $100 - $600 to “replace the screen” on your device....
Chosen Solution how to reset to factory settings First check and see if you have a recovery drive on you HDD/SSD. How to check: 1.Right click on my computer 2.Select Manage 3.Choose tab Disk Manager 4.Normally there will be C: drive D: drive and a hidden drive eat up 15-20GB but you cannot see it anywhere beside the C: and D: 5.That sir is the recovery drive, if you have it you can go ahead restart computer and try a combination key to get to recovery mode 6....
Chosen Solution Im sure it’s not a problem with the screen itself. When I plug it in it occasionally vibrates. The touch digitizer connection seems broken but everything else seems fine. If it was just a broken touch digitizer then it should display something. Any ideas? Have you tried booting the device without the Prox flex and homebutton flex? And the LCD is turning on but no display is showing? Love to here more about this one(:...

A guitar pic or something can be run around the screen edges to pop the display away from the plastic housing. At the bottom, remove the plastic covering that hides the hinges and cables, and remove the screws that hold the screen in place....
