Chosen Solution I bought this from a govt auction. They pulled the hard drive out, but in that process they broke the display adapter on the logic board. Can I replace this board with a board from Late 2009? I’d see if I could disconnect the connector body which was pulled off with the cable from display cable, then connect it to the logic board and secure it with Kapton tape then connect the cable back to the display....
Chosen Solution After a drop, screen was badly cracked but still functional. I ordered the ifixit replacement screen and also a replacement battery. Replacement was uneventful. I reassembled without adhesive to test fit and confirm everything was working. Screen stays dark. If I press the power button I get the haptic vibration indicating that “power off” options are on screen. Holding the power button for 20 seconds gets another vibration consistent with a power cycle....

I have charged it twice and both times the charger shuts off like it is fully charged, but the charge does not last very long at all less then 10 minutes.
