Chosen Solution I know this may be a completely random question, but I figured I’d ask all you awesome computer techs here on ifixit first we have the issue in our office where we have multiple workstations, and if I’m working at one, i might walk with my tool to do work on another, and then leave it there. Chosen Solution I recently replaced the screen on my s7 edge but damaged the back button light. I ordered a couple charge ports and upon installation it does not pick up any phone signal. I put back the old charge port and it picks up signal right away. Everything is connected properly and also, I did order the correct model. Chosen Solution Hi! I recently got a Bose SoundDock 1 for really cheap and it happens to have a problem that I have no idea how to resolve. When music is playing at low levels from my iPod, white sound is clearly audible. Sometimes, the problems is resoved by plugging the power cable in and out. How would I fix this? Chosen Solution The damage is as follows: The white part next to the ribbon cable went off of the motherboard after following Step 22 of this guide: PlayStation 3 Teardown @thepwrtank18 let’s see what the connector on the motherboard looks like. It might be possible to either resolder the one you have or to find a replacement connector. It all will depend on what the damaged area looks like. It is possible that you may have to rebuild some traces or solder pads but it may also be a straight forward solder job....

Chosen Solution Dear Forum, I have a Samsung mz-jpu512t/0a6 SSD from a dead MacBook Pro 15” medio 2014, which I would like to put in a Mac mini late 2012. The SSD in NOT in a case or such - just a bare circuit board. The Mac mini is equipped with a standard SATA disc, where the SSD obvious doesn’t fit. I would prefer adding the SSD to the Mac mini, giving two discs, but replacing the SATA drive would also be OK....

Chosen Solution When I close the laptop, the bottom right side usually tends to stay slightly open. This isn’t a huge deal, but it looks aesthetically awful. I own the 13 inch gunmetal model just in case anyone was curious. Have you tried opening up the bottom case to see if there are any screws for the screen hinge you can tighten up?

Chosen Solution After droping my phone, the screen cracked and went completely white but the screen was still recognizing my touch and i could hear the clicking on the keyboard, after replacing the broken screen with a new digitizer, glass, and lcd my iphone does not recognize my touch and the screen is completely black, in this whole process i payed close attention to cables 1,2,3 to prevent any sort of damage....

Chosen Solution Brand new battery, and memory card, screen just says EOS. When I power it off it still says EOS, when battery is out then it goes back to blank. What do you think the issue is? Hi @colinbrady21 , Sounds as though the camera’s firmware gets hung up when the camera is turned on. Try a power reset to see if this clears the problem. Turn the camera off if it is switched to on....

Chosen Solution Hi. When I wake my MacBook from sleep, the keyboard backlight turns on but the screen does not. The only way to temporarily resolve this problem is by restarting the computer, but then when I put it back into sleep, this happens again. Chosen Solution I have an older iMac running Mac OS X 10.7.5 Lion and nothing supports it anymore. Should I upgrade to El Capitan or Yosemite? If I do upgrade it, will it run slow?
