Chosen Solution Hi everyone, I had a flickering screen on my T440s. Initially, pressing on the flickering part did the trick and I could use it as normal. After a while,the problem got worse and I wanted to exchange the screen. And then, my odyseey started: The shop I ordered the screen from send me a wrong one with a 40 instead of 30 pins connector. Don’t ask me why, but I forced it a little bit into the LCD cable, and obviously it did not work....

Chosen Solution Side button does not work after installing ifixit new battery. Can’t turn phone off therefor. Virtual side button on screen can be used to put phone to sleep. Hi Ed, There’s a flex cable running under the top part of the battery, it’s possible that if you poked around there or tried to pry the battery out from the top you could’ve damaged the flex cable.

Chosen Solution Hi, i accidentally inserted the sim card ejection tool into the upper microphone hole while trying to replace the sim card. i felt a jerk (like the tool tore or broke something), i have tested my microphone and it works just fine, however, i am worried if i have broken or damaged the waterproofing of the phone. i observed the performance and any damages to the microphone for a week now and everything seems to work fine....

Chosen Solution I have 2 LCD monitors. Samsung SyncMaster 225BW If I turn on, I must wait 10 minutes if they start. I think something wrong with capacitors. Do you know how can I repair it? Thank you very much for answers. Ladislav Lencses, use this guide to disassemble your display. Then check the capacitors on the power board. Check for any leakage, bulging etc and see what you find. Capacitors can of course fail without any visual indication as well....

So I need to use a power converter so the console works in India. It worked well until my younger cousin inserted the powersupply directly without converter and the smoke came out of the console and it doesn’t work anymore....

Chosen Solution Hi all, I recently found the 1/3 side of my iPhone 3G touch screen not working. The 2/3’s on the right side still work perfectly. It’s like a perfect line vertically down separating the working side with the non-working side. As a result, I have restored the device and replaced the digitizer thinking that was the most obvious problem. Still no luck, the exact same area of the touch screen doesn’t work....

Chosen Solution so while my iphone was working just fine the activasion lock happened randomly the problem is i cant get rid of it because i dont know my id and password :( i cant put any other icloud user i tried reseting it on my computer no use i cant do anything to it someone please help me If you are the original owner of the device and can prove it, then contact Apple Support (in store or via telephone) and they will remove Activation Lock....

I’d like to find out before opening her up, since the new display glass are not magnetic like in older models. First the Apple blade SSD is removable, its just very difficult to get to. Chosen Solution Just replaced an iPhone 8 screen using a not so great aftermarket part. Had to swap over the front camera/speaker/prox/ALS assembly onto the new screen. Everything works - except the front facing camera. The proximity sensor, speaker both work. Front camera only shows black. Is the flex connector likely the culprit? My intent is to reseat the flex connector for these components. I don’t expect this to solve the problem....

Chosen Solution This is what I am seeing on my tablet after I press the power button to turn it on. It takes 6 minutes before this disappears and I am able to use my tablet. Any suggestions??? Flash the Samsung firmware for your tablet via downloaded firmware from sammobile matching the model number and region of your tablet. You need to do this with the tablet plugged in and booted to download mode....

Chosen Solution Hi. To explain the best. The laptop had a GPU problem. So I changed Logic board. Also I changed RAM And HDD to a ssd. Worked fine for a week.. And Then red lines. Never had that problem. Comes to the loading Apple logo. And Then turn dark Grey without the red lines. It wont Boot to safe mode, recovery mode or diagnostics. please help! Tried resetting SMC And everything....

Chosen Solution Repair Samsung Galaxy S4 glass without LOCA glue. Possible? I saw some youtube videos where they didn’t use the Loca. Will it work? Every phone made up until a short time ago was taped and they don’t all fail (Obviously) Use good 3M tape and use enough of it in the right places and it will be epic! Chosen Solution Earlier I had this Artifacts on screen, not sure if LVDS cable loose or GPU issue. I resolved it and MBP was working fine, but now suddenly it won’t boot. I am hearing repeated boot chimes indefinitely and nothing on screen. When it was working I noticed that left shift, 7,8 &9 keys were not working. I tried to reset SMC & PRAM but not sure if it works(as the left shift wasn’t working earlier)....

Chosen Solution I order a replacement battery from iFixit. The battery is missing the small cable that plugs into the system board. Did I receive the incorrect part Are you sure you ordered the correct battery the 2018/19 has a removable cable the 2016/17 has a soldered on cable which can’t be removed without damaging the battery! It is required! If the replacement was missing it (2016/17) then contact iFixit Customer Support for an exchange....

Chosen Solution So i bought a display assembly for a Huawei P9 and for some reason it doesnt work after i moved all parts (cameras, mainboard, etc.)from one assembly to the other. The weird thing is that it works totally fine when plug in the display flex cable before i assemble anything. Any ideas? You probably bet a ribbon cable, so look out not to bend them. I don’t have a lot of familiarity with this model but check to make sure you aren’t putting pressure on any of the connectors or cables....

Chosen Solution After having a shattered lcd and digitizer screen and replacing the motherboard. The phone will power on (the motherboard had a factory reset ) perfect quality picture. But after a few mins of recording ,moving icons around, going into different settings. The screen responds has it should, but then it comes alive on its own, switching from one screen to another for a while. @loyates this is usually caused by errors between the LCD and digitizer, most often on aftermarket repair assemblies....
