My 3DS also wont show image when it is only opened a bit. I tried removing and reinserting all the ribon cables and it didn’t make diference, so I’m guessing the problem is not with the conectors....

My tasks were to replace the audio/power button cable and swap out batteries. Chosen Solution I replaced the LCD/Digitizer as a pair, verified connections a second time. The device won’t power on and when I plug it in there’s a consistent red LED blinking. I get no other indication of anything happening. I ended up leaving the battery unplugged for a few hours and it came on afterwards. Seems only half the digitizer works now though. The adhesive strips for the battery is pretty self explanatory, but I don’t want to get it upside down or whatever. Thanks!
