Chosen Solution I have a 1st Gen MacBook Pro with a battery that is nearing the end of its lifespan. The computer has begun to randomly shut down on its own. The power cord is plugged in. I need to determine whether this is a function of the old battery or whether it indicates other, more serious issues. Any thoughts? It would be a more serious issue, if the computer is plugged in, it does not matter if the battery even completely removed, it should not power itself off....

My previous computer was the same model,I was happy with it because I could replace most of the parts and I thought buying another I could reuse some parts of the old one. The Story: 1 - The computer I bought worked fine but the battery lifetime was shorter than my older one 2 - The trackpad was also worst than my old one Then, I decided to change both parts and replace them with those of my old computer The Result: 1 - The trackpad works but the system doesn’t recognise it 2 - The system neither recognizes the battery, therefore it doesn’t charge (the computer works plugged) We’ve tried: 1 - to use the battery inanother laptop and it works 2 - to replace again with the original ones and the same problem persists 3 - to reset nvram and smc and the problem persists Any idea?...

Chosen Solution This has been my first iPhone repair attempt. I replaced my battery on my iPhone 6 but now my screen has the white lines all over it and it is unresponsive to touch. I’ve checked to make sure all 4 ribbons connected properly multiple times. I did have to use the hair dryer to get the old battery out because i broke the glue strips as I was pulling them out, so that might have damaged something else....

Chosen Solution Hi, I’ve bought a pair of MacBook Pro 2013 battery last week(one for me and one for my friend). After changed the battery I’ve reset SMC and did couple times of full charging and discharging, I found the battery maybe is a malfunction one. The battery directly went out of power when it is around 30%(directly shutdown instead of going to sleep), and on iStat battery status, it showed the new battery’s max capacity is only around 55%, I tried all methods to recalibrate the battery status, but all failed, it just won’t last as usual....

Chosen Solution Hi All, 2 Days ago installed a new battery from Ifixit. And did the full charge and uncharge 4 times and did the SMC reset. But it seems that my battery drops from 50% to 7%. It is going strong until the 50% mark, I can show a diagram if needed. Anybody any clue what is going on? Chosen Solution Need some help. Have successfully installed a replacement i/o board per the instructions on iFixit website. Good news is that battery now charges properly, and the sleep and restart commands function properly when accessed through the Apple icon. However, the power button does not function properly. Power button will not turn on machine. Also, when attempting to shut down machine using power button the usual menu of “sleep, restart, shut down, cancel”, does not appear — instead, the machine simply shuts down immediately....

I ordered a replacement screen assembly but it was from a 2012 and the camera cable is not compatible with the late 2013. (HBG main) Tried disassembling it and cleaning it with can of air, vacuum and electronic air blower. Seems like actual hardware issue. Chosen Solution Hi, I replaced a digitizer on this some time ago and the customer has come back to me saying the screen does what it wants and types like its got touch disease. I’ve done a bit of research into this and I cannot see a confirmed case of touch disease on an iPad. I’ve cleaned the digitizer and its still acting weird, It also changed the volume on its own too....

Chosen Solution I opened up the PSP to clean it because it was full of gunk and after putting it back together the screen has now got lines all through it. I opened it up again to make sure the ribbon cables are all in properly and they are. Did I press to hard on the screen when I was wiping it clean or is there something I can do to fix this?...

Chosen Solution My phone is always restart alone several times a day, WHY ? It’s new i bought it few months ago !! This could be due to an overload of the phone’s ram/system memory. Chosen Solution I have a similar issue. Sharp lc-46le620ut very dim picture @gsinkel first you want to make sure that all your settings are properly set. Check teh brightness setting. IF that does not change anything it is possible that this is caused by bad backlights or a bad power board. You wuld have to remove the back panel from your TV and take a look at the power board. Check for obviosu damage like leking, or domed looking capacitors, obviously damaged looking components....

So I had an old, fried, iPhone 5 laying around, and decided to use its good condition camera. Install went smooth, no issues at all. Went to turn on the phone, and boom, NAND error....

Chosen Solution Hi all I recently gave a fully working iphone 6 to a family member, the only issue being a small hairline crack on the screen, other than this the phone was fully working and the image and touch was not affected by the small crack. They took the phone away and everything was fine, there was no mention of wanting to replace the screen, otherwise I’d have offered to do that....

For board level repairs, rebelling ic chips, what magnification power does my microscope need to have at the minimum . The microscope I was looking at goes up to 20x. I purchased ASURION and have a one year warranty with Acer, however, accidental damage is not covered. The cost of the repair through Acer is $80 plus taxes, and shipping. Unfortunately, the total cost of the repair will exceed its original cost. Therefore, I am looking for a better alternative. Ultimately, I would LOVE to do the repair myself but I’ve had trouble finding the right parts....
