Chosen Solution I purchased your battery replacement kit with battery, tools, etc. Is the battery new or an older one that has been on the shelf? What is the expected life of the battery you provided with the kit? Thanks. from my experience with ifixit parts they do specify if the part is new, used, or refurbished. Also referring to the battery expectancy , it depends on how you care for the battery, if you take care and only charge it when you need to (%10-%15) then you should easily see 2-3 years out of this new battery....

Chosen Solution Hello! I recently replaced the battery on my Early 2015 Macbook air 13" and I’m not able to get the laptop to recognize the battery. It won’t stay on without the power cord, and the battery status won’t show up on the menu bar. I tried resetting the SMC - holding shift, control, alt and power button for 10sec - and that has not seemed to resolve the issue....

Chosen Solution After installing it correctly, it only shows a folder on the screen. It will not reboot. That is expected reaction until you install the OS. If you still have your old drive and it still works you’ll need to put it back in. Then once the system is running prep up a USB thumb drive (16 GB or larger) using Disk Utility to wipe the drive and created a GUID partition map and a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) partition....

Hi @esky , Here’s the hardware maintenance manual for the Tab 3 8 Plus TB-8703F and 8703X models so perhaps the 8703R model will be the same, as I couldn’t find the manual for it. This will help gain access to the systemboard in the tablet. Be patient as it takes a little while to load the manual onto the page It is hard to see it in the manual and also the parts list for the other two models does not show the micro USB port as being on a separate module, so presumably it is mounted onto the systemboard....

Chosen Solution Hi there ! Some time ago, I dropped my switch and since then the right joycon stopped working wirelessly. What’s weird is that it kinda work while docked: only after a few seconds when I get back from lock and won’t work if I try to remove it and put it back until I lock and unlock the switch again. At first I thought it might be the battery that was dead but when I tried to put the battery of the “dead” joycon into the working one, it worked great....

Chosen Solution sm-g925p recovered from water damage, cleaned board and lcd with isopropyl 99% and toothbrush, then ultrasonic cleaner, then isopropyl again. Put in new battery. Also tried new housing/mid frame to make sure it wasn’t the power button. Also tried a soak in isopropyl for 3 days. Motherboard came back from totally dead but now there is a significant power drain when powered off! Like from 90% to 60% in 2 hours, while powered off....

Any help would be appreciated. @newholm start by putting the unit in service mode and run some test according to the manual. Let us know what you find. I had this problem and the techs reported that this error (brew unit blocked) was due to the power unit failing, which (Jan 2020) is no longer available....

Chosen Solution Hi. I have Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9506 and I replaced the LCD screen on that phone I replaced the screen with the frame. Client of mine dropped his phone the other day and talk to me to change the lcd. After I did that I noticed some weird stuff going on after I booted the phone. Chosen Solution My camera wont turn on and the green light at the back flashes when I hold the on button. never had this issue before please advise what to do Tony I don’t know the exact answer but you could try checking the batteries. Another is take out the batteries and then press"On" button for 15 seconds or more. Put in know good batteries and see if works. This is generally the first step for troubleshooting anything electronic....

Chosen Solution Hi, Changed the screen on an iPhone 8. When turned phone on for the first time it was fine, only thing was screen was very dull with a yellow tint. Cleaned up the connectors on logic board and turned phone on again. brightness was good, then after a while screen started playing up. During boot and iphone logo there is a tint (Line) the height of the apple logo in the middle of the screen....

All is ok except when I make a call the screen goes blank and doesn’t come back on again, I can hear the person im calling and they can hear me, however the screen doesn’t come back on when the phone moves from the face. Now Ive moved whatever little parts I can from the proximity sensor area of the old frame (the phone works fine in the old digitizer) and transferred to the new digitizer....

Chosen Solution My iPad Air still works after I dried it out of soaking it in water on the bottom of it. I dried it out for 3 weeks before I powered it up again. The screen had brown stuff all over it inside the screen like light rust color I kept on drying it and it all disappeared. Now I powered it up and I get crisscrossed lines and different colors on the screen … closed the magnetic case opened and it had the home screen there for 10 seconds then crisscrossed again it did this for a long time but now it won’t go to the home screen at all but for a second just the lines not picture but all else works even Siri how to fixit or what’s wrong....
