Chosen Solution There’s no colorful lines or extra lines, it’s just this black stripe — the backlight seems to work, whenever I press a little around the rim, there’s discoloration. Is the LCD broken? Sadly you do need a new display assembly ;-{ In your case the ribbon cable which drives the column of lines that are black have gotten damaged. Chosen Solution Is the logic board HD size related? Just replaced battery after 6 years. Does not show up in iTunes. Overnight charge results in 1/4 charged indication. Suspect I have a bad logic board. 20GB Logic boards are available…how does the board relate to HDD size, or is that a misnomer? jimjarvis, you can use that logic board. It is not depending on the HDD size, the only thing to be careful of is that you use a board for a 4th generation, and not for an iPod photo....
Chosen Solution my car kinda vibrates and makes a knocking sound when i give it gas? @ksm2me, kim, Noise/vibration could be linked to a few things, engine, transmission, exhaust, various heat shields,various mount’s, etc.. Check all fluid levels, if any found low, especially engine oil top up with specified engine oil. If knocking seem’s to be there all the time when accelerating, best to discontinue driving until a good local garage/technician can diagnose issue and estimate repair....
Chosen Solution I have an upgraded 802.11n card in my iMac (early 2006). It’s getting a max of 150Mbps off of the single antenna. Anyone think I could double that by buying a 2nd antenna and connecting it to the other antenna port on the card? I can get the exact antenna cable that’s inside this iMac for about $13. Seems to male sense to me, but maybe I’m missing something?...

Chosen Solution I just purchased a airport card for my mac mini. I have a dumb question. Don’t I need a airport antenna and if so why don’t they sell them together? I believe the Mac mini included the built-in antenna even if the optional Airport card was not installed at time of purchase, i.e. it’s already installed inside the case - just need to plug it in if you later install an Airport card...

If you press the power button, you may be lucky and get a blurb of the Mac start up chime, but it gets cut short. There’s no response from a screen and resetting PRAM/SMC hasn’t done anything....
Chosen Solution ’80s Magnavox Cassette Radio Boombox: I went to verify the cassette player worked and the tape got stuck, play button was stuck and eject wouldn’t work. I opened unit and eventually got buttons unstuck. Now have determined rewind and fast-forward work, the belt turns. In play mode I can see the belt turning but only the left spool is turning, counterclockwise. Thanks in advance for any help. I’m sorry, I’m just a total novice....

Chosen Solution Is it possible to recover the saved data by switching the hard drive from the broken ps4 to the new ps4. Both consoles are the same models. yes, just becareful when switching the the hard drives lots of screws, so keep placement neat to avoid damage to new system

Also, how do I test if logic board is usable? iPhone is detected when plugged in, but don’t show up on iTunes Is the metal housing of the iPhone bent and is the backglass severely cracked? For it to show up on iTunes unfortunately it requires a working screen to allow to computer to get iTunes to detect the phone....
Chosen Solution I’m about to replace the screen and frame for my Nexus 5X due to water damage (all components seem to be working, just the LCD is messed up). I read through the tear down instructions here and it seems like a pretty straightforward repair. But, I do have one problem, the Notification LED. the LED can be seen in the picture on step 13 for the teardown here, and it seems to be removed in the final picture of the teardown here, but there’s no steps on how to actually remove the LED or replace it....
Chosen Solution My Sony XB12 dropped and upon opening the outer shell you can see that the interior brackets snapped, everything else is okay and fully functional. Now the screws have nothing to screw on to and keep it closed, much less watertight. Where can I find replacement brackets? EDIT: both of the screw stems of the bracket, where the battery is attached, are capped and one of the mounting holes from the board bracket is obliterated while the other has three cracks and with any force will also split open....

Thanks TheBookYard in the UK is one of the few that handles keyboard parts. Sadly, I don’t think they offer discreet key parts for the USB or wireless keyboards. Your best bet is just locate a used unit and hopefully you can salvage the part from it....

My genius son moved to Germany and I have minimal tech skills. You can load new software although you need to have some know how on what to do. It’s a big ask to have someone explain step by step....
